It
is a known fact the humans have more hair follicles per square
inch than most higher primates, including chimpanzees and
gorillas. Some hair is coarse and dark, and some is so fine and
pale that it isn't visible to the naked eye.
When
darker, coarser hair appears in places you don't like, or
expect, on the face, neck, abdomen, breasts, arms, or underarms,
or, for women, prevents you from wearing high-cut bathing suit,
shorts, or even a short skirt, it may be time to consider hair
removal.

Spiders
are those ugly, dark, little blue veins that run up and down the
legs resembling lines on a road map. Sometimes spiders group
themselves into nasty little star burst patterns that pop out
where they are least wanted! Sometimes they fan out along
the outside of the thigh or the inner aspect of the lower leg.
Often they gather around the ankles or behind the knees.
Leg spider
veins may be treated with Sclerotherapy or Laser.
Sclerotherapy involves injections, with a tiny needle, directly
into the spider veins. Facial veins are effectively
managed with a laser. In most cases, after leg vein
treatment, normal activities are resumed immediately.
Often we use a combination of Sclerotherapy and Laser treatment
to get the best results.

A BOTOX®
injection is a simple, non-surgical procedure that smoothes the
deep, persistent lines between your brows that have developed
over the course of time. A ten minute treatment relaxes
the muscles that cause those lines to form and keeps them
relaxed up to four months. It has been approved by the FDA for
treatment.
Unlike
surgery, BOTOX® is fast, simple, and minimally invasive, with
no downtime or recovery.

Mesotherapy
involves the injection of medications and other substances into
the mesoderm, the layer of fat and connective tissue beneath the
skin. Invented in France in 1952, today mesotherapy is used for
a variety of cosmetic purposes, including cellulite and spot
weight reduction, hair loss, scar revision and skin
rejuvenation. It may be an attractive alternative to tumescent
liposuction for patients wishing to reduce cellulite or lose
excess weight.

Each type
of cellulite is differentiated based on its location (buttocks,
hips, thighs, knees or ankles) and its typology: more fatty,
more fibrous, or more infiltrated.
Cellulite
is always resistant to diet and physical exercise. It is not
controlled by liposuction and it is complicated by the age of
cutaneous sagging or significant circulatory problems. The Cellu
M6 cellulite reduction machine, with the approval of the FDA,
qualifies as the first device in the world that is capable of
reducing the appearance of cellulite.

Thermage
- Non-Surgical Face Lift |
The
Thermage procedure is an advanced way of tightening skin that
uses a unique form of radiofrequency energy to allow the
Physician to tighten loose or sagging skin, producing a kind of
"lift" without an incision or recovery time.
It
is the only non-invasive method to tighten loose skin.
With
the gentle touch of the device tip, the surface of the skin is
cooled, while the deeper tissue, is altered by radiofrequency
heating. This not only tightens deeper skin tissue, but
jumpstarts new collagen production, which occurs over a period
of time.
While not
a substitute for a surgical facelift, the Thermage procedure can
be used on patients with a moderate amount of sagging skin and
wrinkles. The Thermage procedure is sometimes referred to as a
mini-face lift, ThermaLift or DermalLift by physicians who have
observed that this non-surgical procedure lifts and tightens
tissue, similar to a facelift without the surgery.

IPL
technology can correct or erase the signs of photoaging,
rosacea, sun damage, and brown spots on the face, hands and
body. It has also been used to reduce the appearance of mild
acne scars, dark circles around the eyes, and to reduce fine
lines around the eyes and mouth.
Using
a cold gel applied to the area to be treated, the handpiece is
gently applied to your skin as pulses of light are emitted.
Usually, four to six treatment sessions, lasting about 20
minutes each, will provide you with beautiful results.
There
is no recuperation time necessary. With IPL you can return
to work the same day or resume your normal activities. There is
no disruption to your active lifestyle. You will notice a
gradual, yet natural, looking improvement providing you with
outstanding results. IPL is a safe solution tailor-made to your
skin type and condition.
Rosacea is a chronic skin disease
affecting about 14 million Americans that causes redness and
swelling on the face and also occasionally the scalp, neck,
ears, chest, back and/or eyes. Although it can affect anyone,
rosacea typically appears in light-skinned, light-haired adults
aged 30-50. Symptoms range from red pimples, lines and visible
blood vessels to dry or burning skin and a tendency to flush
easily, but many people find that the emotional effects of
rosacea - i.e. low self-confidence and avoidance of social
situations - are more difficult to handle than the physical
ones. It is not yet known what causes rosacea and the disease is
not curable, although it can be treated in many ways, including
topical and oral medications, laser therapy and laser surgery.
Early detection and intervention are essential to achieve the
most effective results, or to reduce the severity of symptoms if
rosacea has already progressed.
More information
about wrinkles will be coming soon.
